Later, when it was dark and the rain had gone off, Betty and I set up our lighting in the street and when all was tested and ready, Stacey and Alex came outside for a few photos.
Mervyn

We also went across the street to the harbour and took a few romantic photos beside the boats.
Betty

Stacey and Alex on the jetty with the lights of Campbeltown in the background.
Mervyn

They were thoroughly enjoying themselves being outside in the fresh air.
Betty

We managed one last photo of them kissing in the moonlight. How romantic! That concludes the blog photos but you can see the full set of Stacey and Alex’s wedding photos on our Wedding Gallery page next week.

At the Victoria Hall, everyone was seated and waiting for Stacey and Alex.
Mervyn

Dad was enjoying making his speech.
Betty

The guests were having a good time as well.
Betty

After the meal, it was time for Stacey and Alex to start the first dance.
Betty

Betty and I created a special photograph for the happy couple. The final selection of photographs from Stacey and Alex’s wedding will be shown on our blog tomorrow.

Everyone was watching intently as the rings were exchanged.

After the official signing in the vestry, we took a few photographs of the newly weds.
Mervyn

The rain was pouring down outside so we took photographs inside the doorway.
Betty

By the time we had taken the family groups in the church, the rain had stopped. We managed to photograph everyone at the doorway. There will be more images from Stacey and Alex’s wedding tomorrow.
Mervyn
A crowd had gathered at the Highland Parish Church when we arrived and then the boys arrived on time in their car.
Mervyn

Alex and his best man were too busy talking to Mervyn to see me capture this natural picture.
Betty

Last chance to have a wild time before the girls arrive.
Mervyn

Soon after, Mum and the girls arrived followed by guests.
Mervyn

By the time Stacey and Dad arrived, it was starting to rain.
Betty

To keep everyone dry, Mervyn managed to capture a group shot in the doorway.
Betty

Final words with the Minister before going down the aisle. More photos from Stacey and Alex’s wedding will be published tomorrow on our blog.

Betty and I were photographing Stacey and Alex’s wedding in Campbeltown at the weekend. As it was 150 miles away from the studio, we travelled down the previous evening. We were up bright and early the next morning to catch the girls at the local hairdresser.
Mervyn

Stacey at the hairdresser’s.

The Bridesmaids and flower girl were looking out of the window.

Final photos in Mum’s house before leaving for the church.
Betty

Everyone was ready to go to the church and looking fantastic. More photos will follow over the next few days.
Betty
On our way down from the rooftop, we passed through the reception suite and we took a few photos with the cake.

Someone is going to have a nice surprise.

“Here’s to the newly weds”

Everyone was having a great time. You will be able to see all the images from Jenna and David’s wedding on our gallery page after they return from honeymoon.
Mervyn
It was now time to make a grand entrance down the magnificent staircase.
Mervyn

Dad began with his speech.
Betty

What a magnificent setting for the wedding meal.
Betty

Calum responded…
Betty

…followed by the Best Man.

Before we left, we decided to take a few photos of the Auld Brig o’ Doon. This is my favourite. Taken in infra red, the scene looks like a crisp Winter’s day. I hope Laura and Callum like it. All the images from their wedding will be uploaded on to our gallery page after Laura and Callum return from honeymoon.
Mervyn
Now that the formalities were over, Jenna and David could relax in the beautiful New Lanark scenery.
Mervyn

“We’ve done it!”

Taken on a sunny August afternoon, our special infra red camera transforms this into a magical winter scene.
Betty

How about a dance on the roof?
Mervyn

A kiss beside the fountain, how romantic.
Betty

This is where Jenna and David were engaged – beside the fountain on the rooftop. The last set of photos from Jenna and David’s wedding will be shown on our blog in a few days.
Mervyn
As we were driving down to Ayr from Kirkintilloch, the rain stopped and the sun came out. What a difference from up the road.
Mervyn

And this is why everyone comes to Alloway – to get a photo with the Auld Brig o’ Doon – made famous in Tam o’ Shanter by Robert Burns.
Mervyn

With the ultra wide lens, I could capture the fantastic panorama from the bridge (as well as Laura and Callum kissing).
Betty

The guys look as if they are having a great time, cheered on my Mervyn of course!
Betty

I tried this different shot with Laura’s veil in a magical landscape. More photos from Laura and Callum’s wedding in a few days.
Betty
Jenna arrived with dad and I managed to get this photo while she was talking to Betty.
Mervyn

Don’t they both look happy!
Betty

I was shooting from the balcony as Jenna and dad went down the aisle.
Betty

Mervyn was shooting from the top of the aisle.
Betty

Cheers! More photos from Jenna and David’s wedding will be shown on the blog in a few days.
