We continued to Norton House Hotel near Edinburgh for the group photos in the extensive gardens and the reception in the Garden Suite.

The girls had purchased Hunter wellies and heart shaped brollies for the big day and posed for a photo.

The snow didn’t really fall that day!  It is a photo taken with our special infra red camera which makes it look like Jennifer and Ben are walking through a magical winter wonderland.

We took this blue toned image or modern “cyanotype” image of  Jennifer and Ben.

Mervyn

The boys lifted Jennifer (with Ben’s permission) and held her in this “Queen of Sheba” pose.   Everyone was having a great time including Jennifer!

Jennifer through her bouquet backwards over her head to the waiting girls.   Mervyn captured this shot just as it was about to be caught by the girl on the right.

The last photo in this selection is the happy couple kissing in the background with the cake and bouquet in the foreground.

After Jennifer and Dad were piped up the aisle at Kirkton church, Dad gave Jennifer away and the marriage ceremony began.

I went up to the balcony, took this photo of the bridal party and then joined Betty on the side balcony.

Mervyn was capturing the wide shots …

… and I was capturing the close in shots like this one of Jennifer putting the ring on Ben’s finger – all taken from the balcony with the long telephoto lens.

This is an overhead shot of Jennifer and Ben walking down the aisle, now as a married couple.    Look at the expressions on their faces!

Once the photos were taken at the church door, we captured confetti throwing images.  This one is Mervyn’s.   I was taking the close in shots.

The sound of the Highland pipes at Kirkton Church greeted Jennifer and Dad in their bridal car and they were piped up the driveway to the church door.

Jennifer and Dad were very relaxed as I took this shot in the car.

The bridesmaids helped Jennifer from the bridal car to the church door.

After a few words of advice from the Minister, Jennifer and Dad came though the doorway and were piped up the aisle.

Betty and I were photographing Jennifer and Ben’s wedding at Kirkton Church, Carluke on Friday.   Our daughter, Helen, was not with us today as she had been invited to an interview at Dundee University to (hopefully) continue her art studies.   I think Betty and I were more nervous than the Groom on this occasion, waiting for news from Helen.

Ben with his Best Men and Ushers arrived in good time and we began the photography.

I like this casual shot of Ben with his Best Men leaning on the railings.    Betty suddenly received a text from Helen to say that she had been given a place at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee.

Mervyn took this shot of the rings and we continued with the photography of the boys, knowing that Helen had achieved her goal.

Ben was looking relaxed and ready to meet Jennifer at the alter.

After leaving Colzium House Walled Garden, Susan and Stephen drove to the Inchyra Grange Hotel near Polmont for the evening reception.

Susan and Stephen took to the floor for the First Dance.

Later, we went outside and created this image of Susan and Stephen kissing in the shadows at the front door.   The end to a perfect day!
